Into the Mountain
The mountain’s face has been hollowed out, carved into two parallel colonnades. A door at its end is made of iron and stands 10’ to the top. If not for its seclusion, you would imagine this entrance fit for one of status. The stone is carved with a dynamic fervor, glorious work of amateur hands. The juxtaposition of the mountain to the door is uneasy. It is a grave place hewn from stolen earth.
